Ordering Custom Work

Hello there and welcome to my latest blog.  This one is going to be a little different than previous posts.  This post is an introduction to a series I will be issuing over the coming months.  And it's all about custom orders.  

Many times, people are interested in ordering a custom piece but aren't really sure what information is needed.  Here, I will be discussing information that is helpful for me when building a quote for a custom order, as well as the interaction you can expect when ordering from Dynamite Decorations.

So, what's involved in the custom order process?  Information that is useful to me is understanding what research you have already conducted, whether you have a budget, and if you have a design in mind or a specific style for a particular area of your home.  Although you'll still get assistance whether or not you have considered these areas, it is helpful to me as a maker to know how to direct you and the conversation. 

What will this blog series cover?  I'll be discussing the custom order process for barn doors, display shelves, and tables.  Each section will focus on the factors important to me as a builder in understanding your vision and project requirements.

I hope that each of you reading this will gain an understanding of how a builder/maker approaches your project and what we may expect from you.  The worst is getting a request to build without any direction and the customer ends up not liking the final result.  So let's avoid all the messiness and build something dynamite!
